HORST
Wood covered with tar, flag, light
Installation on the roof of the Seilerbahnweg N°15, Welschdörfli, Chur
1400 x 900 x 1500 cm
2021
Was the space for this colony made available? Was it taken by force? Are its occupants welcomed or held captive? Is the enemy threatening us at our doorstep, or are we showing them our strength? The banners hang over the city. HORST raises questions about hospitality and the need to take up space. Eight wooden huts covered with tar are built on the roof of a residential building in Chur. They are visible from the road, the surrounding hills and the city below. Flags flutter in the wind. HORST is a state, an occupation.
